26.45.00 - Facility Weather Alerts and Current Conditions
Development version 26.45.00 adds facility-scoped National Weather Service alerts and current observations to the Incident Overview for Professional and Enterprise subscribers.
Highlights
- The selected incident's lead facility drives the weather display; without an incident, HICSNow uses the user's primary active facility.
- Facility weather is a Professional and Enterprise capability and is not displayed for Essentials workspaces.
- The highest-priority active alert receives prominent banner treatment, with all active alerts available beside current conditions.
- Current conditions identify the observation station, source time, and observation age, while unavailable individual measurements remain clearly labeled.
- Last-known values remain visible after a refresh failure with unmistakable stale and unverified-alert warnings.
- Tenant and permitted Facility Administrators can select Locate address, review an address marker, and save the result without a second lookup.
- Approximate address results are labeled for review. Administrators can place or drag a custom map pin without changing the postal address, or use the numeric coordinate fields when the map is unavailable.
- Existing valid automatic coordinates remain in use until an address changes or an administrator deliberately locates it again; no automatic conversion is performed.
- Active-facility and user-assignment boundaries apply to weather just as they do elsewhere in the workspace; Tenant Administrators retain organization-wide active-facility access.
- Weather remains advisory and cannot create incidents, select response guidance, activate the HIMT, or write incident activity.
- Hourly and seven-day forecasts, radar, maps, acknowledgements, and outbound notifications remain future capabilities.
